# FiveM Asset Escrow System

## **Troubleshooting guide**

The FiveM Asset Escrow system is built to protect and encrypt creators’ work. It prevents unauthorized use or redistribution. Below are common escrow-related errors and how to fix them.

#### **Failed to Verify Protected Resource: resourceName**

**Cause:** Files may have been corrupted during transfer.\
**Fix:**

* Make sure all encrypted files, including the `.fxap` file, were transferred correctly.
* Use **WinSCP** instead of **FileZilla**. FileZilla can skip encrypted files.

#### **You Lack the Required Entitlement to Use fresourceName**

**Cause:** Your server license key does not match the one linked to the asset purchase.\
**Fix:**

* Make sure your FiveM server cfx key is linked to the **same account** that owns the resource.
* Restart your server after installing the resource to apply changes.
* If the cfx keys don’t match, **transfer the asset to the correct account** (*only one transfer is allowed*).

#### **Syntax Error \</1> or Similar**

**Cause:** Outdated artifact version, or unauthorized changes to encrypted files.\
**Fix:**

* Make sure you’re using artifact version **4960 or newer**.
* Don’t modify encrypted files.
* Restart your server after installing the asset.

* Use the **latest FiveM artifacts** to avoid escrow compatibility issues.
* Avoid **unauthorized modifications** to encrypted files. They can break the asset.
* **Always restart your server** after adding or updating assets.
